After a record setting April, with over $30 million Medical Cannabis sales throughout the state, The MVC is set to receive a $5 million contribution.
Paul Kirchhoff, Missouri Veterans Commission Executive Director, also praised the continued support of the MVC by the Missouri Department of Health. “MVC will use these new funds for increasing support for Missouri veterans and veteran operations across seven facilities statewide,” Kirchhoff said.

The Missouri Medical Marijuana program began in 2020, and has collected more than $330 million in sales revenue. The use or sales tax funds have been a point of concern and contention in the community. In response Missouri residents voted to adopt Missouri Amendment 2 in November 2018. The amendment requires the Department of Health and Services to transfer fees and taxes generated by the Missouri Medical Program to the MVC.
